Job Title: Lead Architect – Java Microservices, GenAI, Python & Cloud

Location: Whippany, NJ – Onsite
Experience Level: Architect

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Lead Architect with deep expertise in Microservices Architecture, Java, Python for GenAI, NoSQL Databases, and Cloud Platforms. This role requires technical leadership, hands-on coding, and the ability to design scalable, AI-powered microservices solutions. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance, cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Architect and lead the development of scalable, distributed systems using Java (Spring Boot, Quarkus, etc.).
✔️ Design and implement AI-driven microservices solutions, leveraging Python for GenAI applications.
✔️ Define and enforce best practices for software architecture, cloud deployment, and microservices communication patterns.
✔️ Work with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, etc.) to design efficient data storage solutions.
✔️ Oversee the end-to-end system design, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
✔️ Lead cloud-native architecture decisions across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
✔️ Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
✔️ Guide engineering teams on event-driven architecture, API management, and system performance optimization.
✔️ Stay ahead of emerging AI/ML and cloud technologies and drive innovation in architecture and development.

Key Skills & Requirements:

🔹 10+ years of experience in software development & architecture.
🔹 Proven expertise in Java for designing microservices architectures.
🔹 Advanced proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in Generative AI (GenAI), LLMs, and AI model deployment.
🔹 Strong experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Cassandra.
🔹 Deep knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their native services.
🔹 Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), and API gateways.
🔹 Strong understanding of distributed systems, high availability, and fault-tolerant architecture.
🔹 Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-driven messaging frameworks.
🔹 Ability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive technical excellence.

Nice to Have:

➕ Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS) for AI-driven applications.
➕ Understanding of MLOps & AI model lifecycle management.
➕ Exposure to security best practices in cloud-based microservices.
➕ Knowledge of serverless architectures (Lambda, Cloud Functions, etc.).
