Job Title: Senior Project Manager – IT Projects
Location: Virginia
Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with ITD management to allocate tasks and resources effectively.
Communicate project timelines and expectations clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors, managing contracts and procurement processes.
Maintain project documentation including budgets, plans, schedules, risks, and status updates.
Define project requirements, facilitate design workshops, and manage testing phases.
Monitor project milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time and within budget delivery.
Track project progress using metrics and reporting tools.
Support system and application training initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
Experience in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.
Knowledge of data modeling, interface management, and troubleshooting techniques.
Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or VITA certified Project Management certification.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
Ability to create custom reports using standard IT application tools.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Progressive experience in system analysis, design, development, testing, and troubleshooting.
