Essential Skills and Role:

  • An Informatica MDM (Master Data Management) Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing and optimizing Informatica MDM solutions to manage an organization's critical data assets.
  • The role involves gathering business requirements, designing data models, ensuring data governance, and integrating MDM with various enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data management needs.
  • Define functional and non-functional requirements for MDM implementation.
  • Document business processes and data governance policies.
  • Solution Design & Implementation:
  • Design MDM data models, workflows, and business rules.
  • Configure Informatica MDM Hub components (Landing, Staging, Base Objects, Match & Merge, Survivorship).
  • Implement hierarchy management, data validation, and cleansing rules.
  • Data Governance & Stewardship:
  • Define data governance framework to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Work with Data Stewards to manage data ownership and issue resolution.
  • Implement Golden Record strategy using Match & Merge rules.
  • Integration & Performance Tuning:
  • Integrate MDM with ERP, CRM, Data Lakes, and other enterprise applications.
  • Optimize data processing for high performance and scalability.
  • Ensure real-time or batch data synchronization.
  • Testing & Validation:
  • Develop test cases and scenarios for functional validation.
  • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and provide end-user training.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and implement fixes.
