Detailed Job Description
- Managing encryption technologies, tools, and solutions to protect sensitive data.
- Designing and implementing encryption policies and procedures that meet industry and regulatory compliance standards.
- Monitoring and maintaining encryption systems and managing encryption keys to ensure that data remains secure.
- Conducting risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in the encryption infrastructure.
- Collaborating with other IT professionals and stakeholders to develop and implement data security strategies.
- Providing training and guidance to end-users on encryption best practices and policies.
- Tools – Vormetric
- Participate in the effort to encrypt databases using the Vormetric or CipherTrust Manager application
- Participate in the analysis of information to determine, recommend, and plan the use of data-at-rest encryption, or modifications to existing implementations to improve the capability for data-at-rest encryption.
- Provide a new perspective on existing solutions, participate in the resolution of complex problems and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Provide technical support of information security technologies, providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
- Lead small cybersecurity projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.
