Job Title: Guidewire Developer
Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Guidewire Developer to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working with Guidewire Policy Center, cloud environments, and integration mechanisms. This role requires expertise in coding standards, DevOps processes, and Guidewire best practices, as well as a strong technical understanding of various components of the Guidewire platform. The candidate must hold a Guidewire Policy Center Associate Certification.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, maintain, and enhance Guidewire Policy Center applications and integrations.
· Implement and manage Guidewire Policy Center integration mechanisms such as Message Queue, Batch Process, Data Model, Rules, Workflow, Rest API, Soap, and Postman.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and ensure the end-to-end implementation of Guidewire solutions.
· Work within a public cloud environment and utilize cloud technologies for Guidewire application hosting and management.
· Ensure adherence to coding standards, review processes, branching/merging strategies, and DevOps practices throughout the project lifecycle.
· Implement and manage DevOps CICD pipelines for seamless development and deployment.
· Handle test data by creating tooling for data masking, PII management, and facilitating the movement of data from Test to Production.
· Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues with third-party vendor products, ensuring smooth system interactions and data flow.
· Maintain awareness of compliance and regulatory requirements for Guidewire product onboarding and integrations.
· Participate in knowledge sharing, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Guidewire Policy Center Associate Certification is required.
· Extensive experience in Guidewire Policy Center development and integration.
· Proven expertise with Guidewire integration mechanisms: Message Queue, Batch Process, Data Model, Rules, Workflow, Rest API, Soap, Postman.
· In-depth knowledge of coding standards, review processes, and version control practices (branching/merging strategies).
· Strong experience with Guidewire best practices and end-to-end Guidewire implementation.
· Experience working with insurance suites using Guidewire.
· Hands-on experience in refining requirements and implementing Guidewire solutions.
· Knowledge of at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
· Strong technical understanding of Guidewire Platform components and their interworking.
· Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements for Guidewire product onboarding.
· Experience in handling test data, data masking, and transitioning data between environments (Test to Prod).
· Experience with DevOps, CICD processes, and monitoring/logging integration issues.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with cloud hosting for Guidewire applications.
· Strong communication skills with an ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· 8+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire development, preferably in Policy Center.
· Experience in insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
