Job Description:
- Critical production support for DB2, SQL Server, Teradata applications.
- Upgrade DB2 z/OS to the latest supported version.
- Install and Configure Always On HA and DR with multiple nodes on the Windows Server Failover Clustering.
- Coordinate upgrade activities with DAS/OIT, Vendors and Application development.
- Conduct performance tuning for the Database system and the application including the z/OS and Windows platforms.
- Assist project teams with technical solutions.
- Lead the Data Modelling for the new applications and enhancements.
- Train the junior DBAs in the database technology.
- Respond to and resolve “production down” and critical system and application problems and issues on a 24-hour basis, create Root Cause Analysis for the incident and take measures to prevent the similar incidents from future.
Mandatory Requirements
- 15+years of Database Administration Experience.
- Excellent automation and scripting skills using REXX, QMF, JCL and PowerShell.
- Senior level experience with IBM Mainframe family of products.
- Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
- Experience working in a 24×7 production environment.
- Desired Requirements (Including Certifications, years performing.)
- Strong experience with DB2 and SQL Server.
- Experience with Teradata is a plus.
- Knowledge of RACF is a plus.
- Experience of working with OIT is a plus.
