Job Summary:
The GCP Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. This role involves working closely with development teams, DevOps, and IT operations to ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design: Design and architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Cloud Strategy: Develop and implement cloud strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
- Solution Development: Work with development teams to build and deploy cloud-based applications and services.
- Security: Ensure cloud infrastructure and applications adhere to best practices in security and compliance.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and costs of cloud infrastructure.
- Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with existing systems.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-related issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of [5/7/10] years of experience in cloud architecture and deployment, with at least [3/5] years on Google Cloud Platform.
- Certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Programming: Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, etc.).
- DevOps: Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
- Networking: Solid understanding of networking principles and technologies (VPC, DNS, load balancing, etc.).
- Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
