Role: Lead Salesforce Developer

Location: On-site Dallas, TX (Local Only)

Duration: 6+ Months

MOI: In Person (Face 2 Face)

Client : Southwest Airlines

USC & GC Only…

  • Project Leadership (~50%),
  • Technical Leadership and Mentoring (~30%), and
  • Software Development/System Engineering (~20%).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership:
    • Ensure the technical quality of the software developed by the team.
    • Lead the development team, ensuring capacity and skills align with delivery expectations.
    • Define application roadmaps in collaboration with Solution Architects.
    • Provide accurate development estimates and assess feasibility.
  2. Project Leadership:
    • Collaborate with all levels of the organization, from team members to senior leadership.
    • Plan and oversee application deployment activities.
    • Ensure alignment with enterprise development standards and industry best practices.
  3. Software Development:
    • Develop, maintain, and review software with a focus on quality and maintainability.
    • Execute unit, functional, and integration tests, emphasizing automation and test-driven development.
    • Investigate and integrate new technologies to enhance development activities.
  4. Mentorship and Coaching:
    • Mentor and coach development teams on relevant architecture, design, and development topics.
    • Translate leadership expectations into actionable tasks for the development team.
  5. Salesforce-Specific Responsibilities:
    • Lead the design, development, testing, and debugging of new and existing Salesforce systems.
    • Manage configurations, workflows, and Salesforce API integrations.
    • Utilize industry best practices in Salesforce development, including Service Cloud and Lightning Web Components.
    • Operate within a Scrum Agile development methodology, using a Scaled Agile operational model.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, concepts, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, with experience in Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Service Cloud.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead ideation sessions and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Salesforce-Specific Experience:

  • Experience in Salesforce development, including Apex classes, triggers, and Service Cloud.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce API integration.
  • Experience with DevOps tools like GIT, SalesforceDX, and Jenkins.
  • Certifications such as Salesforce Platform Developer I (required), Salesforce JavaScript Developer I (highly preferred), and Salesforce Platform App Builder (preferred).

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with Java programming, JavaScript, and JSON.
  • Experience developing and deploying mobile apps on Salesforce1.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based, and customer service-oriented environment.

Certifications:

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I (required)
  • Salesforce JavaScript Developer I (highly preferred)
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder (preferred)
  • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant (optional)

Working Environment:

  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented.
  • Operates with a product mindset, focusing on continuous improvement and customer value generation.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while mobilizing others to take action.
