Description:

Our client is looking for a PowerBuilder Developer and IT Analyst with a strong background, specialized in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher), and who possesses advanced skills in T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases.

Tasks: 

Data management

Source control (TFS/Azure DevOps, GIT)

Unit testing/Documentation/Testing

Production support

Change management

Software development and data integrity

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Skills Required:

5+ years              Experience researching and modifying PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data (PowerBuilder Development, version 7 or higher)

10+ years           High level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database

10+ years           Experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data

10+ years           Experience in performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis

5+ years              Experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps or GIT

10+ years           Experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes

10+ years           Experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams

5+ years              Must be able to work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios

5+ years              Experience analyzing and documenting identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis

5+ years              Experience following change management procedures and providing input to execute changes

Associate's degree or similar in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
