Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester to join our team in Boston, MA. This is a hybrid opportunity, offering flexibility in the work environment. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in ETL testing, a strong background in database management, and proficiency in PL/SQL (preferred but not mandatory). Candidates with prior experience in the financial domain will have a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Perform ETL testing to validate and ensure the accuracy and consistency of data transfers between systems.

·       Develop and execute test cases to ensure data transformation logic is correct.

·       Work closely with ETL developers and business analysts to understand data requirements and transformation rules.

·       Validate the data pipeline for data accuracy, completeness, and quality throughout the process.

·       Perform regression and functional testing to ensure ETL processes are functioning as expected.

·       Identify and document defects and issues found during testing and track them to resolution.

·       Create and maintain test scripts, data sets, and testing environments.

·       Analyze large datasets for anomalies and errors.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, DBAs, and business teams to improve data quality and ETL processes.

·       Create detailed test reports and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

·       Minimum 8 years of experience in ETL Testing or similar roles.

·       Strong experience with SQL and database management (preferably Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).

·       Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, etc.) and the ability to write and execute test cases.

·       Proficiency in PL/SQL is a plus.

·       Strong understanding of data quality concepts and testing methodologies.

·       Experience working with large datasets and troubleshooting data-related issues.

·       Ability to write complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis.

·       Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

·       Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills:

·       Financial industry experience (e.g., banking, insurance, investment) is a significant plus.

·       Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.

·       Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.

·       Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
