Job Description
Our client is looking for a DB2 Database Administrator! The DB2 Database Administrator will support modernization efforts. The DBA will have expertise in the iSeries platform with a strong background in database programming, development, and maintenance. This role primarily focuses on DB2 databases and SQL programming, with less emphasis on RPG and Cobol. You will work alongside the developers to evaluate the performance of current SQL, RPG, and Cobol code, and review any new database artifacts introduced into production. In addition, you will work with the application development team to ensure best practices for database management and optimization, while also supporting future integration initiatives.
