Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Center Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 4 years of experience in network cabling, RACK setup in data centers, and installing servers. Proficiency in Linux is essential for this role, with additional knowledge of OpenStack and GPU technologies being highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform network cabling tasks including installation, termination, and testing of cables in data center environments.
  • Configure and set up RACKs in data centers according to industry standards and best practices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to server installations and configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of servers and networking equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, equipment installations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends related to data center infrastructure.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in network cabling, RACK setup, and server installation in data center environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of OpenStack and GPU technologies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for data center operations and infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Linux (e.g., LPIC, CompTIA Linux+).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
