Job Title: Data Modernization Analyst-(Health Care, and Procurement)
Location: Jackson, MS-@Hybrid
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Data Modernization Analyst to support projects aimed at enhancing data management within a public health infrastructure context. This role involves collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to streamline data processes, facilitate modernization initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Catalog and organize agency data resources to establish a comprehensive, public-facing data catalog.
- Assist in selecting and implementing processes for managing external data requests and public records.
- Support the creation and adherence to project timelines to achieve data modernization goals.
- Communicate effectively with agency staff to prioritize project objectives and meet deadlines.
- Collect, organize, and leverage large datasets across multiple subject areas for improved accessibility and analysis using data lakes, warehouses, and other tools.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, and budgeting for multifaceted data management or modernization projects.
- Ability to handle large volumes of data and utilize data management tools effectively.
- Familiarity with IT project management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of data management, visualization, and analysis tools.
- Understanding of government, security, regulatory, and privacy standards relevant to data management, including handling protected health information (PHI).
- Experience in vendor management related to data management and analysis software systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in governmental data modernization or project management.
