Position Title: Cybersecurity Analyst
Location: 200 S Lamar St. Jackson, MS 39201-Hybrid
Position Overview:
The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for performing a range of complex security procedures and processes to ensure the safety and protection of information systems and data. The role involves conducting IT data and security forensic investigations, managing internal vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The analyst will implement and administer cybersecurity systems and ensure users adhere to necessary security procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex security procedures and processes to protect information systems and data from unauthorized access or destruction.
- Conduct IT data and security forensic investigations.
- Manage internal vulnerabilities to meet regulatory and standards compliance.
- Ensure users understand and follow necessary security procedures.
- Implement and administer cybersecurity-related systems.
- Maintain knowledge of domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures.
- Utilize intrusion detection and internet architecture expertise.
- Participate in situational tabletop exercises (e.g., malware, phishing, ransomware).
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience: 5+ years of cybersecurity-related experience.
- Vulnerability Scanning: Experience with Tenable/Nessus or other vulnerability scanning tools.
- Endpoint Protection: Knowledge of endpoint protection, AV/XDR, AV/XDR policy configuration, and endpoint agents.
- SIEM: Experience with SIEM, logging/syslog, and alerting systems.
- Server Administration: Proficiency in Windows/Linux server administration of on-premise cybersecurity applications.
- Cybersecurity Tools: Experience with cybersecurity tools for routine tasks, such as Nmap, Wireshark, and phishing simulation.
- Tabletop Exercises: Participation in situational tabletop exercises (malware, phishing, ransomware).
