- Mainframe developers have the following roles and responsibilities:
- Perform system installations and modifications.
- Create test structures and gather/analyze data.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Provide support for project requirements.
- Implement plans such as disaster recovery and interface layout.
- Troubleshoot issues.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain mainframe-based applications.
- Write code in COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.Integrate systems and interact with infrastructure
- Good communication
- Ability to get the requirements from business
- Develop the controls with specified requirements
- Should adapt to customer release process
- Coordinate with offshore and USAA stake holder 100% deliverables ownership
