Job Description:
Responsibilities and duties:
- Design and implement scalable and efficient data storage solutions using Snowflake.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries within the Snowflake environment.
- Integrate Snowflake with various data sources and third-party tools.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data-driven business objectives.
Skills and qualifications:
- 7-8 Years of experience in MS SQL server / database technology and at-least 5 years of experience in Snowflake platform
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with ETL processes
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake features like Snowpipe, Dynamic tables, Data Masking, External Tables, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, etc.
- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions
- Experience in performance tuning, optimizing large, complicated SQL statements and cost optimization in Snowflake platform
- Proficient in handling semi structured data in Snowflake
- Experience in SSIS package development
- Experience with data modelling, data migration and cloud computing environments [Azure]
- Proficient understanding of ADO, GIT
- Understanding of data compliance and security best practices
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
- Experience in Snowpark, Python and ML programming is a plus
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
