Job title :- Mainframe Developer
Location:- Atlanta, GA (3 Days onsite Tuesday to Thursday)
Duration:- 12 Months
JOB Description:
Note: Must have Experience with modernizing legacy mainframe applications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and other relevant technologies.
– Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
– Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deliverables.
– Optimize application performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
– Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing best practices and technical expertise.
– Participate in project planning, estimating effort, and scheduling work.
– Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures.
– Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in mainframe development.
**Qualifications:**
– 10+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
– Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and other mainframe technologies.
– Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and data processing.
– Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a collaborative team environment.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Experience with modernizing legacy mainframe applications.
– Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
– Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.
