Job Description:

Our esteemed financial services client is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and experience, particularly in cloud security and systems administration. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of our client’s cloud infrastructure.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, etc.)
  • Certifications: Relevant cloud and security certifications (e.g., CCSK, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience:
    • 8 years of IT/Engineering experience (US-based work only)
    • 5 years in security and systems administration
    • 3 years of experience with SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS solutions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cloud security strategies to safeguard infrastructure.
  • Manage and administer security across various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure cloud-based solutions.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform regular security assessments and audits.

Key Tools and Technologies:

  • Cloud Platforms:
    • AWS (Amazon Web Services)
    • Azure
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Security Tools:
    • Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools
    • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems
    • Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)
    • Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions
  • Development and Automation:
    • Terraform (for infrastructure as code)
    • Ansible (for configuration management)
    • CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
  • Compliance and Monitoring:
    • Compliance management tools (e.g., AWS Config, Azure Policy)
    • Monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor
