Role Summary:
A Senior .Net Developer is sought to provide advanced technical expertise and leadership in migrating SharePoint applications from SP2010 to SP2013. The incumbent will be pivotal in guiding key design decisions and articulating the trade-offs between technical choices and business impact to stakeholders. This includes integrating Multi-Factor Authentication and adhering to corporate standards, orchestrating the deployment architecture with performance engineers and infrastructure teams, and leading crucial troubleshooting sessions. The role demands an ongoing commitment to enhancing productivity, expediting delivery, and bolstering the quality and cost-effectiveness of solutions. Continuous learning and knowledge dissemination are also expected within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the support and resolution efforts for multiple SharePoint migrations.
– Communicate effectively with business and IT leaders on design decisions and project implications.
– Implement and enforce Multi-Factor Authentication along with other corporate security protocols.
– Optimize deployment architecture in collaboration with performance and infrastructure staff.
– Spearhead and partake in production-issue diagnosis, including crucial “War Room” interventions.
– Continuously identify and leverage opportunities for process and quality improvements.
– Share expertise and assimilate industry best practices within the team.
Essential Qualifications:
– Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a relevant technical field. Advanced degree is an asset but will be balanced against practical experience and achievements.
– At least five years of direct, hands-on expertise with SharePoint (2010 and 2013) and .NET development, including experience with HTML5, CSS3, REST, and WCF.
– Proficiency in SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio Workflows, InfoPath, jQuery, AJAX, REST, CSOM, JSOM, along with the ability to customize SharePoint environments (Web Parts, Master Pages, Event Receivers, etc.).
– Strong background in ASP.NET, Web Forms, MVC, PowerShell, C#, SQL Server, and debugging practices.
– Knowledge of AD, ADFS, Azure AD, and RSA integration is a strong plus.
– Occasional travel expectations (under 10%).
Additional Responsibilities:
– Undertake team leadership by overseeing development tasks to ensure project quality and scope adherence.
– Integrate cloud services, principally Azure, and ensure the application of industry best practices, such as SOLID principles and design patterns.
