Scala on Spark Developer with Financial / Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) Focus

Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid, 2-3 Day a Week)
Experience and Skillset Required:
– Minimum of 6 years for Senior Engineer or Senior Consultant roles, with at least 8 years for those applying as Tech Lead or Manager, which includes demonstrable expertise in Scala programming on the Spark framework, and proficiency in SQL. Expertise in Scala is critical.
– Background in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
– Proven track record with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including but not limited to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Registry (ACR), and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). Experience with Airflow as an orchestration tool will be considered an advantage.
– Quick learner with the ability to understand and contribute to an existing Scala on Spark codebase promptly.
Work Dynamics:
– Independent and organized professional with the ability to excel both as an individual contributor and as a collaborative team member.
– Capable of working with a globally dispersed workforce, spanning various regions such as the United States, Canada, and India.
– Comfortable with potential client interactions and capable of providing technical guidance and architectural inputs.
Industry Background:
– Applicants with prior experience in the Financial Services sector, particularly those familiar with the Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) reporting requirements, will be given preferential consideration.
Communication and Leadership:
– Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively.
– Must exhibit strong technical leadership competencies and possess a commanding client presence.
