Title: Business Analyst with Supply Chain and Logistics

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The IT Business Analyst (BA) will assist the Software Solution team in facilitating communication with the business unit/customer, project team, and other stakeholders related to requirements and proposed solution for the project. The BA will elicit business requirements (features & user stories) for assigned project and leverage that analysis to showcase our value proposition to the rest of the organization.
The ideal candidate should have experience in Agile & Waterfall methodologies as well as strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. They should also have a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes and experience with business analysis and systems implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Analyze business processes and systems within the logistics and supply chain industry to identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency.
• Develop process flows, business requirements, functional and technical specifications for new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
• Work with customer service, product, engineering and design leadership to create and align product strategy that support customer needs, and deliver on the value of brand.
• Evaluate and determine the most appropriate methodology (Agile or Waterfall) for each project, based on project scope and requirements.
• Participate in the Agile development process, contributing to product backlogs, user stories, and other artifacts.
• Utilize JIRA to write user stories, document bugs, manage project tasks, prioritize work items, and track project progress.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and priorities.
• Monitor project progress, system performance, identify and mitigate risks, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in business systems analysis, functional design, process improvement, process design, project management and project evaluation.
• Should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate business value.
• Should have experience in project leadership and project management; from business cases, cost/benefit analyses and planning, through post-implementation support.
• Extensive experience with JIRA, Visio, Confluence and SharePoint desired.
• Knowledge of XML, JSON, API, Web Services and System Integrations.
• Ability to work independently and show initiative with minimum supervision.
