Position Title: Broker Developer
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ months (Possible extension)
Tax Terms: C2C
Work Authorization: No OPT/H1B
End Client: New York Department of Social Services
Tier: Working with Prime Vendor
Key Required Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a focus on middleware technologies.
- Proficiency in Java/JEE development and object-oriented programming methodology.
- Expertise in RESTful and SOAP services, including WSDL, XML, XSD, XSLT, and XPath.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to address complex integration challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both IT teams and business stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of MQ Queues, channels, and MQ attributes, with hands-on experience in IBM MQ.
- Deep experience with IBM Middleware technologies, including IBM Integration Bus (IIB), App Connect Enterprise (ACE), DataPower, and Message Broker.
- Proficiency in Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Oracle SQL Developer for efficient project tracking and development.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy integrations utilizing IBM middleware technologies (IIB/ACE, DataPower, MQ).
- Develop APIs to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and system interoperability.
- Implement message flows for XML/JSON transformation and manage file-based messaging via File Nodes.
- Design and implement SOA-based services using SOAP and HTTP nodes to facilitate asynchronous communication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring smooth business operations and minimal disruptions.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that the middleware systems align with business goals and technical requirements.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be local to New York and available for an in-person interview.
- No H1B or OPT candidates—U.S. work authorization required.
