Client need someone who is exceptional in communication

#1 non-negotiable requirement: Power BI – Should be able to Develop reports from scratch and update & maintain existing Power BI Reports

Team Dynamic: Fast-paced, shifting between projects, collaborating across business areas (storefront, warehouse, etc.)

Team Structure: 2 contract Developers (adding a 3rd), 1 internal Team Lead Developer

Location: (Remote for EST, and CST candidates only)

Assessment: 5 questions (3 min each), coding test (Python required), and a game

Interview Process: 1st round video screening (Team Lead/HM) → 2nd round panel interview

Start Date: 2/24

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in Power BI, with the ability to develop reports from scratch and update or maintain existing reports
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries
• Strong skills in MS Excel for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience with either R or Python for data analysis
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis to interpret and explain data to various audiences
• Database knowledge beyond data retrieval, ensuring the creation of data links for comprehensive metric availability

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Python for additional data analysis and automation
• Familiarity with Alteryx for data preparation and analytics automation

This role will be reporting up to the Sr. Manager of Analytics and Asset Protection. Reports are seen at all levels of associates. The team is looking for someone who can build Power BI reports from scratch using multiple data sources that could potentially include databases, Excel, flat files, and/or other structured or unstructured data sources. Additionally, this person should be very comfortable with writing Data Analytics Expression (DAX) queries, creating relationships, and be familiar with using Power Query in Power BI. This person should be very comfortable with writing complex SQL queries (i.e. joins, nested queries, recursive queries, etc.). The team will provide guidance on the existing reporting, how data is currently set up, and how to integrate into Power BI Reporting. The team is also looking for someone who can maintain and update existing Power BI Reports.
