Position: Application Support Engineer – Banking
Location: Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL (Hybrid, Local Only)
Duration: 12 Months
Tax Terms: C2C
Work Authorization: USC, GC, GC-EAD, H4
End Client: DTCC
Tier: Working with Prime Vendor
Job Responsibilities:
- Incident Management: Resolve critical application alerts, production defects, and minor improvements.
- Documentation & Collaboration: Update knowledge articles, collaborate with internal teams, and provide answers to application issues.
- Disaster Recovery: Implement and review scripts during planned/unplanned outages.
- Automation: Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort for monitoring.
- Vendor Application Deployment: Implement pre-production/production deployment plans and manage application upgrades.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a similar application support role, with a solid understanding of incident management and troubleshooting.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Oracle/SQL, IBM MQ, SNOW/ITIL, Splunk/Autosys.
- Platform Expertise: Strong experience with Linux/Unix, and AWS.
- Bonus: Familiarity with Kubernetes/Docker, IIB, and a strong understanding of networking is highly advantageous.
- Domain Expertise: Knowledge of the Finance & Securities domain is a plus.
