Job Description

We are looking for a skilled AWS Cloud Database Administrator & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Developer to join our team! You will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Amazon Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DocumentDB databases using CloudFormation and Terraform.

As a key member of our IT team, you will assess our cloud database infrastructure, improve performance, ensure high availability, and automate processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Key Responsibilities:

•              Database Administration: Manage Amazon Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DocumentDB, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.

•              Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain CloudFormation & Terraform templates for automated database provisioning and configurations.

•              Performance Optimization: Tune queries, optimize indexes, and refine database schemas to ensure maximum efficiency.

•              Backup & Recovery: Develop robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.

•              Monitoring & Logging: Utilize AWS CloudWatch for database health monitoring and proactive issue resolution.

•              Automation & CI/CD: Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and automation tools for developer self-service database provisioning.

•              Scripting & AWS Services: Utilize Python, AWS Lambda, and Step Functions to automate database management tasks.

•              Technical Support: Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.

•              Documentation: Maintain comprehensive database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

What We’re Looking For:

•              3-5+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Database Administration & Infrastructure as Code

•              Expertise in Amazon Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DocumentDB

•              Hands-on experience with CloudFormation & Terraform for database provisioning

•              Proficiency in Python, AWS Lambda, and Step Functions for automation

•              Strong skills in database performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high availability

•              Experience with AWS CloudWatch, CI/CD tools (Jenkins), and DevOps practices

•              Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex database issues

•              Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with App/Dev teams
