 Experience needed for this role and why: Workday Extend is a very specific skillset, candidates without the proper experience in Workday Extend in HR implementations won’t be considered.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement custom applications and extensions using Workday Extend.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Work closely with Workday functional teams to ensure seamless integration of custom solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
• Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and functionality of custom solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to custom applications and extensions.
• Stay up-to-date with Workday updates and new features to continuously improve and optimize custom solutions.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed applications and extensions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of experience in Workday Extend development.
• Good understanding of Workday architecture and integration capabilities.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, XML, and XSLT.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workday certification in Extend or other relevant areas.
• Experience with Workday Studio
• Knowledge of HR processes and systems.
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs.
