Job Description: Senior Snowflake Developer with AWS
Location: Onsite – Preferably working in the NY or London time zones. Remote work is acceptable, but candidates who can occasionally work onsite are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize complex Snowflake data solutions to support business requirements, with a focus on market and credit risk applications.
- Leverage expertise in AWS to integrate, deploy, and manage Snowflake environments within the cloud infrastructure.
- Implement best practices for loading data and executing queries efficiently, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Utilize the latest Snowflake features, such as Snowpark, to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities.
- Design and build risk management systems that utilize Snowflake as the core analytics platform.
- Perform time-series and vector-based calculations within the data warehouse to support financial and risk analytics.
Must-Have Skills:
- Snowflake Development – 12+ years of experience in Snowflake development, including design, implementation, and optimization.
- AWS – 12+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services, particularly in deploying and managing Snowflake environments.
- Database Knowledge – 12+ years of experience with database systems, including deep understanding of best practices for loading data and running queries efficiently.
- Snowflake Features – Expertise in the latest Snowflake features, such as Snowpark, and the ability to leverage them for advanced data processing.
- Snowflake for Analytics – Proven experience in utilizing Snowflake as an analytics system, especially in complex financial environments.
- Market/Credit Risk Experience – 5+ years of experience in market and credit risk, with a solid understanding of the associated analytics and data requirements.
- Risk Systems Development – 5+ years of experience in building risk management systems using Snowflake or similar data platforms.
Mandatory Domain Experience:
- Market/Credit Risk: A strong background in market or credit risk is essential, with hands-on experience in developing and managing risk systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with time-series calculations and vector-based calculations within a data warehouse environment.
- Ability to work effectively in both NY and London time zones.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
