CLIENT LOCATION: 3099 E Washington Ave, Madison, WI, 53703

WORK ARRANGEMENT: This is a 90-95% remote position (occasional office visits to DOC in Madison). Candidates must be from Wisconsin or willing to relocate at their expense and remain in WI for the duration of the contract.

In-state, day travel in State-owned vehicles is expected. Occasional long hours are possible but limited. No overnight travel is expected.

 

  • Required Skills: (Need Majority; 5+ Years)
    • Infrastructure Project Management (1+ years)
    • Reporting on project status to stakeholders and management
    • Establishing timelines for projects
    • Experience working with MS Project
    • Experience developing project plans
    • Experience working collaboratively with other teams
    • Experience determining project goals and risks

  • Nice to Have Skills (Need X or more of the following):
    • Working knowledge of Enterprise Infrastructure industry standards including data centers, server farms/clusters, storage pools/arrays, networking topologies, and associated best practices.
    • Working knowledge of cloud-hosted technologies and methodologies
    • Working knowledge of Telecommunication concepts such as SIP, H323, and other VoIP technologies
    • Strong Leadership and Facilitation Skills.
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Experience running infrastructure projects from implementation to completion
    • Experience establishing project plans, timelines, resourcing, risks, and goals

Roles & Responsibilities:-

  1. The State of Wisconsin is looking for an experienced Project Manager to continue our support for our business partners and persons in our care. This individual will be assisting with upgrading and implementing server applications/infrastructure, mobile technologies, and phone solutions.
  2. The position will work with the functional business groups within the Department of Corrections (DOC) Bureau of Technology Management (BTM) and other state agencies to ensure project implementation, maintenance, and planning is completed for the agency’s server and telecom environments.
  3. Requires working project management knowledge and understanding of networking, telecommunication systems, and server infrastructure. To accomplish this, the appropriate candidate will utilize strong interpersonal skills, including superior oral and written communication competencies and an aptitude for organization.

Highly qualified applicants need:

•Complex problem determination and resolution skills.

•Working knowledge of Enterprise Infrastructure industry standards including data centers, server farms/clusters, storage pools/arrays, networking topologies, and associated best practices.
