| Job Title : Senior Postgres Data Base Engineer/Developer Locations : Hoffman Estates, IL Onsite Job Description : o A Senior/Lead level developer/technical architect with strong software Product Development Background. o Should have expert level skills in Postgres Db. i.e., o Strong command on Postgres Architecture & its internals like query optimizer (for ex like indexing strategies, parameter tuning etc..), storage system (tablespace management), transaction manager, system catalogs & tables, memory management & connection management. o Experience with Linux shell (preferably Ubuntu) & Docker Containers is must. o Design, own & maintain database schema keeping both backward & forward compatibility in view. o Should be able to resolve complex problems by investigating and devising solutions for Postgres database operations. o May include packaging, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting and maintenance of database management. o Must be 100% hands-on with end-to-end Database Development encompassing Database Design and Development working with cross-functional teams. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT o A certificate that demonstrates Advanced skills in PostgreSQL from entities like EDB is desirable but not mandatory |
