Role: IT FinOps Analyst for Azure

Location: Charlotte, NC or Remote

Duration: 6+ Months 

We need 3+ Years of exp candidate and I have max rate $30/hr on C2C.

JD:

  • Ability and patience to conduct thorough investigations to gather low-level FinOps-related process details (sometimes technical)
  • A ‘constantly seeking opportunities’ mindset, and ability to influence and drive process optimization (including automation)
  • 3+ years of experience creating process models and other visualizations in Microsoft Visio
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Microsoft Word expertise
  • Experience creating metric & KPI documentation
  • Loves exploring data
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (no VBA)
  • Understanding of or ability to learn backlog management in Azure DevOps for lightweight bi-weekly scrums (Certified Scrum Master (CRM) certification NOT required)
  • Experience building SharePoint document libraries, custom lists, pages, etc.

Desired Skills

  • Any FinOps Foundation certification a massive plus, certainly not expected
  • Intermediate knowledge of FinOps Foundation framework
  • 1+ years of recent experience building Microsoft Power BI visualizations
  • 1+ years of recent experience writing SQL statements
  • Exposure to Azure cost optimization assessments and some understanding of levers to pull to optimize
  • AZ-900 (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) certification and other Azure certifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (CRM) certification
  • 1+ years of recent experience managing backlogs in Azure DevOps
  • Experience using Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) to build process models
  • 1+ years of experience developing Microsoft Power Apps & building Power Automate workflows

This new role would require a highly inquisitive, proactive-thinking IT Business Analyst who would be responsible for:

  • Running’ FinOps efforts using documented, repeatable tactics. E.g.,
  • Continual improvement of FinOps Foundation Capabilities
  • FinOps-related process performance assessments
  • Facilitating and contributing to cost savings efforts
  • Leading periodic collaborative huddle-ups
  • Assisting with FinOps-related process and metrics documentation
  • Doing ad hoc data analyses
  • Assisting with oversight & helping ensure we’re staying plugged-in
  • Helping tih Director of FinOps build the function!
  • Serving as Scrum Master, leading management of our FinOps DevOps backlog
