As a Lead Tableau Engineer, an individual is responsible for designing and developing Tableau Dashboards according to application requirements and demands of the business. Responsible for the development and administration. Their main duty is to transform raw data into meaningful insights. This is accomplished through interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports. The role of a Tableau developer is vital for businesses because of the executive, strategic, and managerial roles and responsibilities that come with it.

Professionals are expected to perform a wide range of tasks such as reporting, building dashboards, building data models, analyzing datasets, and administration.

Needs to be quality and customer focused when approaching a new product. He / She needs well-developed reporting and design research skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall, 6-8 years or relevant experience
  • Designing dashboards with the use of visualization tools using Tableau
  • Using SQL for managing large volume of data
  • Communicating with customers to analyze historical data and identify KPIs
  • Improving data processing speed by building SQL automations
  • Tweaking SQL Queries for best performance
  • Making sure the team delivers reports as per the requirements
  • Analyzing the data so as to identify trends and share insights
  • Implementing Tableau mobile dashboards with the help of Tableau mobile application
  • Creating Thematic Heat maps with the help of MapInfo
  • Recognizing areas for automation
  • Restricting data for particular users with the help of User filters
  • Producing support documentation and keep existing documentation up to date
  • Carrying out investigation of root cause analysis
