Python Engineer – Telecom Industry (Remote)

📌 Visa: GC/USC/H4EAD

📌 Contract: Through 2025 (High Potential for Extension)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Python Engineer to join a team of 10+ engineers working on automation solutions for a major telecom client. This role involves developing, testing, and optimizing Python applications for 5G cell site monitoring, real-time network data processing, and outage detection. The engineer will work with large-scale data models, troubleshoot complex codebases, and implement solutions to enhance telecom network performance.

Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize Python-based applications for real-time telecom data processing using asyncio, threading, and multiprocessing.

Design scalable automation and monitoring solutions for 5G cell sites, ensuring real-time outage detection and performance tracking.

Implement and manage API interactions asynchronously using httpx for efficient network data retrieval.

Utilize SQLAlchemy for database operations and optimize queries in MySQL environments.

Process and analyze telecom data efficiently using pandas, enabling data-driven insights and automation.

Debug, refactor, and enhance existing codebases to improve performance and maintainability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage data models related to network monitoring and automation.

Required Skills & Experience:

✅ 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with expertise in Python (functions, classes, dictionaries).

✅ Strong hands-on knowledge of asyncio, threading, multiprocessing, and concurrent data processing.

✅ Proficient in type hints and dataclasses for code optimization.

✅ Experience with MySQL and database interactions using SQLAlchemy.

✅ Strong data manipulation skills using pandas.

✅ Experience handling asynchronous API interactions using httpx.

✅ Ability to debug and enhance complex Python applications in large-scale production environments.

Nice to Have:

➕ Experience with pydantic for data validation.

➕ Proficiency in Java.

➕ Background in AT&T or telecom industry.
