Job Description: Kafka Architect
Position: Kafka Architect
Location: Remote

(Retail Domain is a big plus)
Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Kafka Architect to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Kafka Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing Kafka solutions, particularly focusing on integration, connectivity, authentication, and security configurations. Experience in the retail domain and familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Networking (VPCSC & PSCSC), and Confluent Kafka are highly desirable.
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with application development and initiative teams to investigate, troubleshoot, advocate, and support connectivity and integration issues.
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms within Kafka environments.
• Utilize your extensive Kafka development experience to design robust and scalable Kafka solutions.
• Integrate Kafka with GCP services and ensure seamless operation.
• Automate tasks related to VPCSC (Virtual Private Cloud Service Controls) using Ansible or Terraform.
• Provide guidance and support on Kafka administration, including configuration management and performance tuning.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Kafka and related data streaming platforms.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of total IT experience, with at least 5-6 years focused on Kafka development.
• Proven experience in Kafka administration, including security configuration implementation.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Kafka integration in GCP environments.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform for VPCSC.
• Previous project experience with Kinesis Data Stream in AWS is advantageous.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in Kafka-related issues.
• Ability to work independently in a remote work environment and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
