Job Title: Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: Bay Area, San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager for a contract position with our high-tech client in the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud migration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage business stakeholder relationships. This role will be responsible for the overall success of customer projects, ensuring timely delivery and resolution of any project issues.

Position Overview:

As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be tasked with owning and driving the success of projects from inception to completion. This includes managing project plans, addressing issues and scope changes, and ensuring project goals are achieved on time and within budget. You will be responsible for managing project reviews, providing status updates, conducting risk analysis, and collaborating closely with your project sponsor and the PMO office to ensure adherence to project requirements and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Oversee and manage customer projects from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery

·       Develop and manage project plans, tracking project progress, and adjusting course as needed

·       Provide project status reports and manage the communication of key project milestones

·       Proactively manage risks and project issues, resolving them in a timely manner

·       Collaborate with various stakeholders, including business analysts, business users, architects, client relations, project managers, and sponsors, ensuring smooth communication and alignment

·       Drive project scope changes and manage expectations effectively

·       Conduct project reviews and adjust plans as needed to meet client and business objectives

·       Support compliance with Jade and client project requirements and methodologies

Required Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field

·       At least 7 years of direct experience in a full-time Project Management role with a proven track record of success

·       Experience in consulting is a plus

·       Strong experience in project progress and metrics reporting for project teams and customers

·       Knowledge and experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies

·       Ability to balance critical issue resolution and competing priorities

·       Eagerness to grow in Project Management and pursue further training and development

·       Formal training in Project Management (Agile Alliance, PMI, PRINCE2 methodologies) preferred

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and client stakeholders

·       Previous experience managing engineering or R&D infrastructure projects, particularly in cloud migration

Preferred Skills:

·       Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and migration strategies

·       Experience managing complex technical projects across various infrastructure domains

·       Strong stakeholder management and ability to lead cross-functional teams
