Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with Azure expertise to design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL development skills, experience with Azure SQL Database, Synapse, Data Factory, and a solid understanding of ETL, data modeling, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

      •     Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers for performance and scalability.

      •     Develop and manage Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory for cloud-based data solutions.

      •     Implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS, or other tools to ingest and transform data.

      •     Optimize database performance, indexing strategies, and query tuning for high availability and scalability.

      •     Design and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures to support business needs.

      •     Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.

      •     Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, BI developers, and cloud architects.

      •     Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Azure DevOps, Git) for database deployments.

      •     Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards (if applicable).

Required Skills & Experience:

      •     7+ years of experience in SQL development, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.

      •     Strong experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).

      •     Experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and cloud-based data solutions.

      •     Proficiency in performance tuning, indexing strategies, and troubleshooting slow queries.

      •     Hands-on experience with SSIS, SSRS, or Power BI (preferred).

      •     Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git for database deployments.

      •     Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and best practices in cloud environments.

      •     Experience with Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages for automation is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

      •     Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate).

      •     Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB), Databricks, or machine learning models is a plus.

      •     Experience in data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
