Job Description:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to manage processes and technologies that enable business value by delivering high-quality software at speed and scale. The role focuses on standardized platforms built and managed via automation. You will be responsible for the configuration, automation implementation, and support of web solutions in a global environment, ensuring current software, patches, features, and configurations are up to date.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will:
- Support long-term strategic goals for technologies and related products.
- Work with development teams on architecture, standards, and quality assurance policies.
- Implement redundant systems, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and monitoring policies.
- Collaborate with other engineers to align solutions across platforms.
- Support quality assurance for new applications, systems, and enhancements.
- Assist with feasibility studies and provide advice based on findings.
- Ensure software integration meets compliance and functional requirements.
- Participate in server lifecycle management and upgrades.
- Implement security measures to safeguard information.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Automate controlled deployments and optimize server performance.
- Plan and complete projects with minimal guidance.
- Provide support for 24/7 global production environments.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 1+ years of IT experience.
- Experience with Application Servers (installation and performance tuning).
- Working knowledge of web architecture concepts (SSL, DNS, CDN).
- Familiarity with automation and deployment tools (Ruby, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with security tools (Web Application Firewall, SAST, DAST).
- Experience with Apache or Nginx web servers.
- Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, and network concepts.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with scripting and task automation.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Enterprise Content Management Systems.
- AWS or other cloud experience.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code approaches.
- Experience with container security and orchestration in the cloud.
- Application Performance Management tools (Dynatrace or similar).
- Good knowledge of LDAP concepts and experience with LDAP directories.
- Agile development and release practices.
