Network Security Engineer L2.5/L3

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with expertise in Azure Cloud, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 load balancers. This role involves designing, implementing, Operation and managing complex network infrastructures to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Azure cloud networking and firewalls management (ASA & Palo Alto), along with hands-on experience with F5 load balancers.

1. Network Design and Implementation:
   • Design and deploy Azure cloud networking solutions, including virtual networks, VPNs, and Network Security Groups.
   • Implement and manage Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls to ensure secure network operations.
   • Configure and maintain F5 load balancers for application delivery and traffic management.
   • Plan and execute network migration and integration projects involving cloud and on-premises systems.

2. Security and Compliance:
   • Develop and enforce firewall rules and policies to protect network resources and data.
   • Monitor network traffic and perform regular security assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
   • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices for network security.

3. Performance Optimization:
   • Monitor and analyze network performance, including load balancer health, to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve network and application issues to maintain optimal performance.
   • Optimize firewall and load balancer configurations to enhance efficiency and scalability.

4. Collaboration and Support:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT infrastructure and applications.
   • Provide technical support and expertise to team members and end-users.
   • Document network configurations, policies, and procedures for future reference and compliance.

5. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in network security, cloud computing, and application delivery.
   • Participate in training and certification programs to further develop skills and knowledge.
   • Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Azure Cloud, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 load balancers.

• Certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
  • F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA) or similar F5 certification is preferred.

• Skills:
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud networking, including virtual networks, VPNs, and Network Security Groups.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience with F5 load balancers and application delivery.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
