Position : Network and Firewall Engineer

Location: Milford, OH (On-site)

Responsible for

  • under minimal supervision, the planning and design, implementation and support of client network including Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls. 
  • Create and maintain firewall policies including application based L7 and L3. 
  • Shadow rule cleanup, cloning and moving rules.
  • Configure and maintain routing on firewalls. 
  • Perform Best Practice Assessment and next steps to implement. 
  • Monitor firewall performance and integrity.
  • Resolve issues through troubleshooting and inspection of infrastructure.
  • Implement routing in Azure using User Defined routes and VNet peering. 
  • Configure and maintain Global Protect & IPsec VPN. 
  • Configure and troubleshoot Threat Prevention.
  • Experience with Palo Alto HA deployments on-prem and in Azure. 
  • Maintain URL filtering. Able to perform backup and recovery and OS updates of Palo Alto VM Firewalls.
  • Packet capture analysis and troubleshooting. 
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model.
  • Conversant with procedures, such as change management and revision control.
  • Maintain complete technical documentation
