Job Title: Oracle Cloud Fusion Solutions Architect

Job Description

The Oracle Cloud Fusion Solutions Architect will proactively lead and support project activities to guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions. They will provide expert technical architectural support for solutions involving cloud virtualization, software-defined networking, cloud infrastructure, management, and security. The role will also include integration with select third-party products.

Key responsibilities include creating deliverables for managing the organization’s portfolio of “to-be” and “as-is” solutions, which include systems (applications, processes, integration, information, and technology), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components. These efforts aim to drive and enable targeted business outcomes.

Credentials and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, System Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

 A minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle Cloud Fusion solution development, with expertise in modules such as Financials, HCM, SCM, and EPM.

Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments.

 A solid understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends and the practical application of these technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.

Familiarity with product management, agile principles, and development methodologies. Ability to support agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impacts, and risks, while addressing technical and architectural debt.

Experience in developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps.

A Cloud Systems Architecture license or certification is preferred.

Experience in working within relevant industries is a plus but not required.

Skills:

    Expertise in Oracle Fusion architecture, configuration, and data structures.

    Strong understanding of integration techniques and tools.

    Knowledge of security practices and compliance requirements.

    Experience with Oracle Fusion APIs, Web Services, and middleware solutions.

    Data savvy with a knowledge of various aspects of technology architecture, including integration, network, and security.

    Good understanding of system development life cycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, DevOps) and IT service management (ITSM) principles.

    Familiarity with IT standards and controls, as well as industry application development methodologies and infrastructure/network architecture.

    Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and technical skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with developers in an outsourced environment.

    Strong understanding of cloud computing support controls, such as service tiers, monitoring, alerting, and business continuity planning.

    Ability to collaborate with other architects (Security, Network, DB) and provide leadership through the resolution of architectural issues.

    Capable of proposing and estimating the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives.

    Effective interpersonal skills for problem-solving and proposing solutions creatively and analytically.

    Ability to quickly comprehend new technologies and their potential applications.
