Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Java Architect to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the technology vision and strategy for a solution or business domain. You will work closely with both technology and business stakeholders to design and implement scalable, efficient solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a technology vision and strategy for the assigned business domain using a holistic approach.
Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between IT and the business to ensure seamless communication.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other Architects to align product roadmaps and ensure the successful delivery of new features.
Present complex technical proposals and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Conduct Proof of Concepts (POC) to evaluate new technologies and approaches.
Lead the development team in translating business requirements into technical solutions during implementation.
Work closely with the Data Architect to ensure effective table design and provide the contract to the data team for implementation.
Promote the reuse of existing technologies and solutions across projects through inner sourcing.
Recognize emerging technologies and industry trends, helping to drive adoption within the organization.
Advocate for the company's mission and core values within the team and organization.
Collaborate across multiple teams and projects to ensure deadlines, outcomes, and results are achieved.
Demonstrate core values of excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity in all aspects of work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5-7 years of solution architecture experience, including creating high-level design documents, solution decomposition into domains, API design, and managing implementation teams.
Experience with microservice design, including REST-based microservices APIs.
Proficiency in AGILE/Lean development methodologies.
Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud solutions.
Solid knowledge of containerization technologies such as RedHat OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Strong expertise in Java and Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot), as well as SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB).
Proficiency in Kafka message queue.
Strong understanding of DevOps processes and CI/CD tools.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.
