Job Description:
Our esteemed Banking Client is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join their innovative team. This role will focus on designing, building, and optimizing cutting-edge machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) models, with a strong emphasis on large language models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of data science principles to drive impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced data science principles to solve complex business challenges.
- Design, build, and optimize large language models (LLMs) and complex machine learning models tailored for banking use cases.
- Leverage natural language processing (NLP) techniques to analyze and process unstructured text data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models in production, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation using industry best practices.
- Provide insights and recommendations by translating data into actionable solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and NLP technologies.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Data Science Principles, including statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning.
- Proven expertise in building large language models (LLMs) and complex machine learning models.
- Hands-on experience with NLP frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, Hugging Face, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, SageMaker, and Redshift.
- Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks like Spark or Hadoop.
- Experience working in the banking or financial services domain.
