Job Title: QA Tester

Location: 50 W. Town Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215

Duration:12 Months

 

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced QA Tester to work in a hybrid model, onsite 2 days a week, with a focus on Integrated Eligibility systems like Medicaid, SNAP/TANF, and Childcare. This position requires a candidate who has strong testing experience, especially in eligibility rules and policy. The preferred candidate will have hands-on experience with Medicaid, SNAP/TANF benefits, and automated testing tools such as Selenium and Cucumber. The role demands strong knowledge in Test Management tools, scripting, and executing manual and automated test cases.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the System Integrator to ensure the quality of releases.

Act as the primary contact for QA aspects of releases, managing QA resources, and coordinating testing activities.

Ensure testing aligns with the Test Plan and meets quality requirements and deadlines.

Provide feedback to the System Integrator on testing outcomes and potential issues.

Conduct manual testing and automate testing scripts using tools like Selenium and Cucumber.

Follow up on questions, defects, and issues, ensuring timely closure.

Adhere to formal QA processes, following Agile methodologies and regression testing best practices.

Respond promptly and professionally to all stakeholder requests.

Assist in ensuring testing work aligns with overall project schedules and quality requirements.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

7+ years of experience with HHS Eligibility Systems and policies (Medicaid, SNAP/TANF, Childcare).

7+ years of experience as a QA Tester with a strong focus on testing Medicaid and SNAP/TANF benefits.

Proficient in writing and executing test scripts (both manual and automated).

Strong knowledge of Integrated Eligibility systems and Eligibility Rules.

Experience using test management tools and ability to work in an Agile environment.

Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium and Cucumber.

Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and defect lifecycle.

Ability to document and report test results, defects, and progress to the QA lead.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and team members.

Ability to work in a Hybrid model (Onsite 2 days a week – Tuesday and Wednesday).

 

Mandatory Requirements:

7+ years of experience with HHS Eligibility Systems.

7+ years of experience as a QA Tester in Medicaid and SNAP/TANF benefits.

7+ years of experience adhering to formal QA processes and industry best practices.

BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.

Working knowledge of test management software.

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience in Reports and Integration testing.

Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.

Knowledge of automation scripting in test tools like Selenium and Cucumber is a plus.

Experience with HHS Eligibility Systems specific to Medicaid, SNAP/TANF benefits.
