Position: HP VMS Admin

Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite)

 

Must Have:

·         HP OpenVMS Admin L2

·         Knowledge on Storage, HP UX & Windows Server2. ITIL Certification.

·           HP VMS Admin L2Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ready to work in 24×7 support model, Ready to relocate to Midland, MI

·         HP VAX VMS or OpenVMS System Administration

 

Job Description:

  Must possess an advanced knowledge in following operating systems as Open VMS and HPUX and their associated hardware platforms. Primary emphasis paid to OpenVMS.

2. Experience in Monitoring Mainframe consoles/images and performs proactive maintenance, including hardware and software upgrades and patch installation on Windows and UNIX platforms. 

3. Maintain the system, data backup procedures and command files.

 4. Maintain and manage batch, generic, print queues.

5. Maintain sysgen parameters tuning and troubleshooting.

6. Installation of layered products installations.

7. Knowledge on scripting languages to automate systems and application management functions (such as DCL and Perl).

8. Experience in maintain the system, data backups, restoration, user account management and maintenance.

9. Disk quota Management and analysis.

10. Perform maintenance activities.

 11. Installation, management and administration of HP-UX.

12. Knowledge on Shell scripting for system administration tasks.

13. Performance tuning, configuring & upgrading Operating Systems.

14. Installation and configuration of High Availability environment using MC Service Guard.

15. Installation and configuration of HP -ignite environment and able to create and verify Golden image.

16. Configuration and administration of HP Logical volume manager.

17. Excellent troubleshooting skills
