Job Title:  RPA/Blue Prism Engineer (Must be Local)

Location: Owings Mills, MD (Hybrid, 2 days/week in office)

Duration: 12+ Months/Contract

Responsibilities

• Manage Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Blue Prism platform infrastructure
• Develop and configure automated workflows using RPA tools when needed
• Implement RPA bots in non-production/production environments, ensuring proper configuration
• Monitor the performance of deployed bots to ensure operational stability
• Assist with the production deployment process, including rollback plans and risk mitigation.
• Advise clients on best practices for RPA implementation and scaling.
• Recommend process improvements or additional automation opportunities.
• Automating platform management processes through Ansible or other scripting tools/languages
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop training and documentation materials
• Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps principles
• Proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimizations, leveraging feedback from users and stakeholders to refine tools and processes

Experience

General

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues
• Able to demonstrate experience supporting technical users and conduct requirements analysis
• Can work independently with minimal guidance & oversight
• Experience with IT Service Management and familiarity with Incident & Problem management
• Highly skilled in identifying performance bottlenecks, identifying anomalous system behavior, and resolving root cause of service issues.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work across teams and functions to influence design, operations, and deployment of highly available software
• Knowledge of standard methodologies related to security, performance, and disaster recovery

Required Technical Expertise
• Solid understanding of RPA concepts, principles, and best practices
• Windows server & workstation administration
• Demonstrated software development experience in one or more of the following: .Net 4.0 or higher, Python (preferred), Java, Blue Prism (or UI Path) etc.
• Strong capacity to apply custom software development skills to RPA technologies and develop RPA expertise
• Hands-on experience with logging, metrics, and tracing frameworks, ensuring the end-to-end observability of systems.
• Engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Python
• Proficiency in Ansible/Terraform/Cloud Formation scripts and Infrastructure as Code scripting is required
• Implement version control and CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows to ensure reliable and efficient deployments
• Proficiency in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for RPA infrastructure (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Proficiency in distributed Linux environments

Preferred Technical Experience
• Experience in upgrading Blue Prism platform to the next version
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (prefer AWS) and container + orchestration technologies
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, AWS OpenSearch, Splunk
• Experience with common scripting and query languages
• Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps principles
