Job Description:
We are looking for a WiFi Test Engineer with strong expertise in WiFi performance testing and relevant tools. The candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating, troubleshooting, and enhancing WiFi systems.
We are looking for a WiFi Test Engineer with strong expertise in WiFi performance testing and relevant tools. The candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating, troubleshooting, and enhancing WiFi systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct WiFi performance testing with tools such as Octoscope, Candela, or Veriwave (required).
- Operate and understand RF test concepts and equipment, including splitters, attenuators, antennas, and RF shielded boxes.
- Utilize lab test equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Apply deep knowledge of TCP/IP, L2 networking/switches, and Wireshark debugging tools. Familiarity with L3 networking and routers is a plus.
- Work with device management protocols such as TR-069.
- Develop and execute shell scripts for CPE validation (e.g., TR-069 routers).
- Customize scripts and conduct experiments involving ports, WiFi radios, SSID packets, and related components.
- Automate tasks using Python, Expect, or similar tools (preferred).
- Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and compile performance metrics (e.g., TPut/KPI).
- Prepare test reports and presentations with strong documentation skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in WiFi performance testing is mandatory.
- Proven problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
- Ability to adapt, troubleshoot, and generate performance statistics effectively.
