Key Responsibilities:
Testing Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy and plan for PEGA projects.
Define scope, objectives, approach, resources, and schedule for testing.
Ensure alignment with overall project timelines and milestones.
Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of testers, ensuring appropriate workload distribution and skill development.
Coordinate between onshore and offshore testing teams.
Mentor and guide team members in PEGA-specific testing techniques and tools.
Test Design and Execution:
Oversee the creation and maintenance of test cases, test scripts, and test data.
Ensure all functional and non-functional requirements are covered through various test types (Unit Testing, Functional Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, etc.).
Ensure appropriate levels of testing for integration points with other systems or applications.
PEGA-Specific Testing:
Work closely with PEGA developers and architects to understand PEGA components (Workflows, Case Management, Rules, etc.) and tailor test strategies.
Utilize PEGA testing tools like PEGA Unit Testing, Scenario Testing, and Automated Testing.
Automation and Tools:
Identify opportunities for test automation, particularly for regression and repetitive tasks.
Work with automation engineers to design and implement automated test scripts for PEGA applications.
Utilize tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or PEGA-specific testing tools (like PegaUnit).
Defect Management:
Track, report, and manage defects through the defect lifecycle.
Collaborate with development teams to prioritize, resolve, and retest defects.
Ensure a high standard of defect resolution with minimal leakage into production.
Stakeholder Communication:
Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding test progress, risks, and issues.
Prepare test status reports, summary reports, and final sign-off documents.
Liaise with business analysts and end-users to clarify testing requirements and ensure test scenarios align with business needs.
Quality Assurance Governance:
Define and enforce quality assurance standards, methodologies, and best practices within the team.
Ensure that all testing activities comply with organizational standards and industry best practices.
Conduct regular test reviews and audits
