Role: SAP PEO Lead/SAP PEO (Production Engineering and Operations) Consultant

Location: Remote

Duration: Contract

Summary:

The client is seeking a highly experienced SAP PEO Consultant with strong skills in shop floor management, custom configuration, and integration with various SAP modules. The ideal candidate should have a background in aerospace, defense, and complex manufacturing industries, as well as knowledge of shop-floor automation systems. Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and willingness to learn SAP DMC offerings is preferred.

Core Skills and Expertise:

1. SAP PEO Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of SAP PEO and configuration considerations, particularly related to shop floor routing management.
• Ability to create and manage operations, operation activities, and link these with components, Production Resources/Tools (PRT), and work instructions.
2. Configuration and Custom Development:
• Proficiency in configuring major assembly production processes.
• Knowledge in custom development specific to SAP PEO to tailor solutions according to business needs.
3. HR Qualifications:
• Ability to create and maintain HR qualifications in SAP, supporting roles and capabilities on the shop floor.

Integration and Cross-Module Knowledge:

4. Integration Points:
• Familiarity with integration points between SAP MES and other SAP components such as PP (Production Planning), PS (Project Systems), QM (Quality Management), MM (Materials Management), FI (Financial Accounting), and CO (Controlling).
5. Shop Floor Systems and Automation:
• Knowledge of SAP CAMS (Complex Assembly Manufacturing Solution) and shop floor automation.
• Experience with integration of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, Automation Control Systems, and historians.

Industry Experience and Best Practices:

6. Industry Expertise:
• Familiarity with industry best practices, specifically in Aerospace & Defense, Discrete Manufacturing, Heavy and Complex Industries, and shipbuilding.
7. Business Process Workshops:
• Experience in conducting business process workshops and performing detailed analyses to align SAP solutions with business needs.

Additional Preferences:

8. DMC Offering from SAP:
• Interest in learning and understanding DMC (Digital Manufacturing Cloud) offerings from SAP.
9. SAP S/4 HANA Experience:
• Preferred experience in SAP S/4 HANA projects, indicating up-to-date knowledge of the latest SAP technologies and implementations.
10. SAP Implementation Experience:
• General experience in SAP implementation, demonstrating a track record of participating in full project life cycles.

Soft Skills:

• Strong Communication: Ability to conduct workshops and engage with stakeholders effectively.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing business processes and aligning them with SAP solutions.
