IT Control Systems/Infrastructure Engineer 5+
Location: Columbus, IN (Onsite)
Work Authorization: No OPT/CPT
Industry: IT and Automation Systems
Working with a Prime Vendor
We need IT Infrastructure resources with experience in plant IT management, firewalls, network, software installation, and related reporting, asset management, and control.
He doesn't need to be a controls engineer but can install control systems as software.
Job Description:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in commissioning roles within the process industry, particularly with IT and automation systems.
- Strong understanding of process control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, and Connected Systems) and industrial IT networks.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and standards in industrial environments.
- Knowledge of Firewall setup, Network setup, Network Security, etc.
- Work on the design, development, and deployment of a standard remote connectivity/firewall solution & support any customer-specific exceptions
- Experience in Installations of any data/business/applications and analyzing while performing service activities
- Experience in commissioning digitalization projects, IoT, or data analytics within industrial plants.
- Knowledge of process industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation such as P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and network topologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with an ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
