Job Title: Data Architect

Location: 1401 East Broad Street, Richmond VA (Requires 3 days onsite)

Contract: 12 Months

Job Description:

The Enterprise Data Steward will utilize business knowledge and technical expertise to develop tools for data-driven decision-making, program performance reporting, and enhancing efficiencies in daily work products and processes. Responsibilities include recommending and documenting improvements to existing data, systems, and configurations, as well as providing technical assistance for developed applications to end users.

Requirements:

Proficient in developing and managing large datasets, integrating data from various sources and platforms.

Strong proficiency in MS applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint, and other business intelligence and reporting toolsets.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of enterprise architecture, particularly in business and data architecture development and management.

Experience in engineering business process improvements with automation in mind.

Ability to lead, delegate, motivate, and achieve desired results.

Aptitude for assessing complex business functions and processes in collaboration with business units.

Understanding of database development theory, data management, business process improvement, and performance management principles.

Proficient in negotiation, mediation, dispute resolution, and diplomatic handling of difficult situations.

In-depth knowledge of state government organizations, functions, and transportation systems.

Ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify and analyze problem areas and recommend solutions consistent with regulations and policies.

Additional Considerations:

Familiarity with federal and state transportation regulations and policies.

Experience in research, evaluation principles, and working with business leaders to capture processes and identify solutions.

Knowledge of transportation planning, project development, and finance.

Experience working with large datasets and solving complex problems in team settings.

Educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Information Management
