Data Governance Management Lead 

Location – Remote 

Job Description: 

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement metadata management strategies and best practices using Azure Purview, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and other relevant tools.

– Oversee the collection, analysis, and management of metadata from various sources within the Azure ecosystem and beyond.

– Ensure metadata standards are maintained and adhered to across the organization using Azure Purview and other tools.

– Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT teams to ensure effective data storage and usage within Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, and other platforms.

– Conduct data profiling to identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies using Azure Purview and additional metadata management tools.

– Create and maintain data dictionaries and other metadata documentation within Unity Catalog and other metadata repositories.

– Assist in data governance and data quality initiatives using Azure Purview and complementary tools.

– Monitor and resolve metadata-related issues within the Azure environment and across other systems.

– Provide training and support to staff on metadata management topics using Azure Purview, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and other metadata management software.

Qualifications:

– Proven experience as a Metadata Analyst or similar role within an Azure environment.

– Knowledge of metadata standards and data modeling techniques using Azure Purview and other tools.

– Experience with metadata management software, particularly Azure Purview, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and other relevant tools.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
